Let me preface this by saying that I'm a bigger fan of the Marvel universe than the DC universe, but both are great IMO.
Having played both now I have to say that DC wins hands down. Why? Because DC is 100% sure of what it is (slightly modified Ascension clone) and doesn't try to hide it. Legendary on the other hand is schizophrenic and isn't sure if it wants to be competitive or cooperative. It's not even sure how it wants you to lose the game (a horde of different possible schemes). The schemes change the game VERY slightly - they are really just a gimmick.

I sort of agree, and sort of do not. I think the different scenarios add quite a bit of replay to Legendary and do make a gameplay difference. They aren't a HUGE difference, to be sure, but it is an impact. Perfect example; play the Skrull invasion one and then try the kill bots scenario. One has you fighting heroes and then adding them to your deck for no points, while the other gives you tough villains that are worth less points but kill you if they escape!
