I tried playing agian with my newphew. Had to change some of the rules a bit for him.

What we did:

He picked Batman (since it's for big boys like himself) and he told me to use Wonder Woman since I'm a girl :p

We didn't use the punch, kick, weakness or vulrablilaty cards since he still didn't understand the use of it, yet. Instead we picked out five random cards from the main deck (helped him shuffle his deck).

At the begining of the game we proceeded as normal: Laid out the five cards in the line up (or the 'store' as my nephew called it). I explained to him that it was ok to buy stuff that wasn't specifically for Batman and that he could buy other 'cool stuff' for his superhero. What ever was left in the line up after purchasing, we discarded them.
(He got a couple of 'houses' (locations) and equipment and one superpower. He didn't touch the villians 'cuz their the 'bad guys'.lol)

We ignored the Superhero powers for the sake of my own sanity. lol. Explaining that to a 4 1/2 year old would have been impossible

When it came time to defeat the SV, I decided to use dice to figure out if we will defeat them or not. 1 regular dice: if the number was higher then 5 the SV was defeated and put in 'jail' (player's discard pile). If it was lower then 5, one of our cards (in our hand) 'dies' (put in players second discard pile).

The player with the most VP's wins. For every SV that was in our pile we would add 5 VP's. Of course he won hands down 'by a lot'
