I appreciated the quality of art that was put into the DC Deckbuilding game. It was also fast, fun and didn't overstay its welcome for what it is.

Legendary might be more 'in-depth' than DC, but the card layout and design choices, readability and the pure frustration of the lack of art variety really stops me wanting to play it. It also makes it very hard to teach as the design layout of the cards is hard to read and the choice of same art means that players who have only played a few games need to keep reading the cards to reference what they do.
So Legendary has been a real missed opportunity at our house, despite its gameplay being more interesting on the whole.

I think you are spot-on with that assessment. The layout, repetitive art, and horrible readability in Legendary is very off-putting. That's too bad, because with a few mechanical tweaks, I think that game has more potential.

As I mentioned, the DC game's graphic are much nicer, and the art much less redundant, but even compared to Legendary (which isn't a paragon of innovation) it is simplistic.
