What I normally do is if a Super Hero (you) wants to defeat the SV, they roll a pair of dice. Each SH has a starting power of 100 (you can change it to fit your own needs/game).
Proceed as normal. When you have enough power (in your hand. this is seperate from the SH power) to defeat the SV, declair that you want to engage/fight the SV.
Roll the dice. Anything lower then 6, the SV defeats YOU and you take whatever damage (in this case, minus whatever the SV power is from your SH power) and return the SV to it's pile. Discard your hand and discard the line up.
If you get a number higher then 6 then you, obviously, have defeated the SV. Add whatever power the SV has to your power. Discard whatever is left in the line up.
That make any scense at all? I'm at work so I can't really type out all that i do...

I can't tell if you're serious or trolling right now. That's a pretty drastic change.
No trolling. I'm serious. It works for me when I play solo. And it's worked alright when I've played with a couple of my cousins.
Okay. So what does your SH Power mean? You lose some if you lose against a supervillain, gain some if you win, but what does it do? Is it this variant's equivalent of victory points? An additional source of victory points for the end of the game? Are you out if you lose all of it? What's it do?
