If you fall behind in Dominion or (heaven help you) Thunderstone, your chances of staging a comeback are essentially nil. That is the real bane of deck builders. It is also why those games, not DC DBG, are fully luck based. If you get the right cards for a faster start on your first turn or two in those games then the game is essentially over.
