I don't think there is anything hugely wrong with it; this is a public site. I can understand Todd's decision to take it down, though, because what this does do is compromise the accuracy of the poll. As you say, this site has many elements which function like a popularity contest and the poll's data would exaggerate the popularity of DC potentially (only potentially, and less so given the "both" option) at the expense of another. I don't have a big problem with what the game publisher did or what Todd did; that's all. You asked, "What did you think would happen?" as if he should have known this would happen and I, for one, one wouldn't have known.
Edit: Wow, Hal, you weren't kidding! I just saw your poll go up. I'm looking forward to both the DC and Marvel games, but I'll try to pick one!
