Hey there! Thanks for the review. I understand that powers/items that are particular to different heroes in the universe are represented with cards - but you can have uncomfortable situations like Batman using the green power ring rather than having to depend on cards which are specifically "Batman" powers/items. Did this bother you at all? You did mention at the end of your review that there are some problems with theme - I guess my fear is that this is going to be a straightforward card game with a DC universe "skin" on it. Is that a fair description?

Also thanks for showing pics in your review! I love how the art has a real comic book panel flavour to it rather than just being simple pictures of the characters.

Tony, it didn't really bother me that much as far as mixing the powers. The game is basically a replacement for Ascension for me. It's light and fun and the theme is a bit more than "skin" but not much. Like I said some things don't make sense if you take it literally as DC canon or heroes playing villain cards, but as a fun card game it suffices well enough especially since you can get it as a new price point.

They just announced the next expansion for the fourth quarter i believe as well which is supposed to add a little depth and can also be played as a stand alone.
