Last night played a game and had just defeated Parallax. I had 4 cards left in my deck, drew them getting 3 Punches and a Vulnerability. Someone had already flipped up Anti-Monitor so I knew it was coming. Shuffled my deck and drew my 5th card. I'll be damned if it wasn't my Parallax.
In an earlier game I had been getting rid of all starter cards and weaknesses from my deck, so I was dreading an appearance from Black Manta. We like to play all 12 SV's so he would come eventually. He showed up as the last one and every card in my deck cost 1 or more and I had killed 5 SV's so pitching my hand had a good chance of happening. Flipped Ras and chucked what was a 4 cards as my turn was 1 away and I might get Manta to replace the point loss, but maybe not. Didn't notice that 2 SS had flipped up and I already had 3. Guy to my right had mucked his hand too, so the game wasn't going to end. I would have had enough to get them both and add 16 points to my deck netting a +12 VP due to the lost of Ras. I lost the game by 5 VP. Note to self, look at the board before throwing my hand away.
Oi, this game was brutal to me last night.
