Ok, so it looks like I was playing it right :) Good to know.

I should probably state that I've only ever played 2 or 3 player. Maybe this means we end up with more super powers (as they have to be spread between less players) than some of you guys are used to. That would make Man of Steel more powerful. I know some cards are a LOT weaker in 2 player (x-ray vision for example).

The turn when I bought all the kicks before playing Man of Steel I had a good hand (bigger thanks to Wonder Woman, but I can't remember by how much) I may have had a super villain in there and I had two locations which triggered (Batcave and Titans tower) which meant drawing two extra cards. Some of the kicks had already been bought but most were still there (maybe about 5 had gone already). Sorry I can't remember all the details, didn't think I would be needing to. It was going to be a good turn anyway, but Man of Steel took it from a very good turn to a winning the game turn.

Looks like there are lots of people who like the card though, so that's cool I can just take him out of my game (actually my girlfriend has already made me do this). I've just found that in our games getting Man of Steel means winning. Even when other people get him and I try to go on the defense and buy all the Superpowers before they can, I just end up with a weak deck by not buying what's best for me.

Seems like there's a bit of split on him being overpowered or not. Maybe it just comes down to how many players you have and what their tactics are?
