So I recently started playing DCDB and love it. I play with a group that I have been gaming/larping with for almost 14 years so we are all fairly proficient rules-lawyers and I just wanted to make sure that I had all these things straight.First, as I understand it there are 4 places for your cards to be during your turn: Your hand, cards you have already drawn; your draw deck, cards to draw when able; your discard pile, cards that have been discarded; and cards in play, cards you have played but have not been discarded yet. That being said, here are the questions/statements I have been going on that may also help clear up other questions.
First, as we understand it when you play a card you then resolve that card, i.e. play Robin, go through your discard pile, show equipment, place equipment in your hand, follow any cards that catalyst of playing Robin, play next card. This means that Robin is no longer in my hand, draw deck, or discard pile.
Second, cards bought during your turn go immediately into your discard pile. Example: So if you were to play 5 kicks, buy Man of Steel, discard them, then use Bat Signal you could then draw Man of Steel into your hand and play him, drawing all super powers from the discard into you hand, including the kick you just bought. Doing this you still have the 5 kicks that have been played before buying Man of Steel and the kick on the table but you can no longer use them, as you have already spent their points but they do not get discarded until your turn ends.
Third, when you defend against an attack, you completely negate the attack and any repercussions from the attack, you still gain the benefits from your defense.
I may edit this with more later, as I am leaving work. I know I didn't actually ask any questions but welcome feedback to any of these points if I am wrong.
