Though having all attacks trigger every turn while the villain is in the battleground would probably make for a fairly brutal "hard mode." I have been playing that the villains attack every turn that they are in the battleground, which can make it pretty brutal, depending on the villains, but it also adds to the strategy of which cards to try to take out first. So, I think it would make a good optional rule to add for increasing the difficulty of the variant. (But the super-villain still only attacks when first revealed.)
