Some cards that allow him to draw cards (useful for every hero, I know) are particularly useful for GL and he also needs cards to get rid of those starter cards. If he can get rid of all 10 starter cards and then have the ability to draw cards built into his deck, his power will activate almost every turn. At that point, he becomes incredible to play.
