You start with your hand of 5, and you can play all of those. If, for example, you play a card that says "draw a card" you can then draw a card and if you wish (and you probably do) play it right away. As long as you have a way to bring more cards into your hand, you can keep playing cards and indeed it is normal for a player familiar with the game to create some pretty impressive chains of card actions. Especially if they can also destroy some of the chaff out of their deck so the more powerful cards come together more often.If your son is doing it, feel proud he figured the game out. If you are doing it, try to showboat a little to make it interesting.
