The first restriction to Swamp Thing is "During your turn". First Appearance attacks do not happen during anyone's turn.The second is that you don't actually control locations other players have in play or in the line-up, you are merely "considered to control" them. If you could somehow destroy one of your opponents locations from play while playing Swamp Thing, they would mysteriously return to that opponent right afterwards.
