I would hold that opinion until both are widely available and played a bit more before saying these things. Glaringly seems a bit extreme to me.
I personally try to reserve judgment on games at least until I have read the rulebook (a lot of good companies, like this one, are nice enough to put the rules online for free perusal). Sometimes I also like to see a spoiler list. I feel that I can form a pretty solid opinion without having to buy/play it. Doesn't mean I can't be wrong, it's a wonderful surprise when I enjoy playing a game that I didn't expect to like.
My first deckbuilder was Rune Age, and I really enjoy it. The resource triangle amazes me, the variety of scenarios keeps it fresh, and I really need to hurry and buy the expansion.
I'm on the fence about DC. I do love Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter (promo only) and Wonder Woman and the various lantern corpses. Hard to say for sure, though.
