So I got to play Legendary Wed night at FLGS and it was as I expected good but a completely different experience then DC.

They really scratch different itches (yes I will beat the above mentioned dead horse) and yes I loved them both (having played DC at Gen Con as well).

DC DBG is a much faster paced DBG and seems to go for a much quicker and lighter game play.

Legendary takes quite a bit of time to set up and is quite a bit longer as well.

Are either bad? Nope, I kinda liked em both for what they were.

I say if you want a quick 30 min game when waiting on others to arrive with QUICK set up---- DC Comics.

If you want one which will likely take you about 60-90 mins (closer to 90 when set up included) then Legendary.

Again I am a DBG and comic book lover so these BOTH will be bought but that's how I see them getting play time.

The one thing I don't like about Legendary which someone said above, is that there is a sep. pile for those VP/ defeated cards. I hate that DBG with less DB? That's a travesty!

The good thing about defeating villains in the (DC) game is later they help you or hurt others, that ACTUALLY IS thematic, in some way.

Dear Lord we are talking about cartoons on a card and buying other cards to defeat other cards... more math... who cares about theme it's got super heroes on them, just play the stupid games enjoy and love them and spread the love not the b#$%%ing we keep getting.

Can't they both exist for different reasons?
