So I've picked both Deck Building games up and I don't think anyone will be disappointed with either. I do, at least in initial play, find that I favor DC. Here are my high points from each game.
DC Deck Building Game
- I'll admit my bias for the DC Universe right up front
- Very fluid play & quick setup
- Deck features equipment cards (not just characters & locations)
- The mechanic of "playing" as a specific Hero
Marvel
- Villain mechanic adds fun drama & narrative element
- Cooperative game mechanic
- Solo play
- Quality of all of the game components (top notch board/box/dividers)

I REALLY thought Legendary was going to dominate DC in the deckbuilding wars, but that's not turning out to be true. The Marvel game has serious scaling issues that the DC game doesn't have. And the difficulty level for Marvel is all over the place whereas DC's is consistent. I have to question you saying that Marvel has quality components. Those cards do NOT seem like quality cards to me. I can't say whether DC's is any better or worse though.
