As a novice player I emphatically agree with the set-up time. I played this a few days ago and the first five minutes was spent throwing out random numbers so the owner could hunt for that specific deck. Then we spent another 5-10 minutes randomizing all of these stacks of cards.
Its an interesting game (interest is clearly based on if you are a big comic book fan) but unless you have a random number generator and a great card mixing plan, it takes a while to setup and take down.
This doesn't make it a bad game, but as a new player it was very obviously a chore to setup.

I had a boring experience my first game, probably because it was Red Skull. I barely made it through 3 decks before the game was over, high score was 21. I never felt any sense of danger, and most of my villains were killed with Shield agents with an occasional hero helping out.

I'd play it again but its not something I'd buy.
