I actually own and very much enjoy the Marvel deckbuilder, but even being a fan of DC comics the DC Deckbuilder doesn't even look to be half the game that Marvel is, from gameplay videos and reviews.

The Marvel package is also HUGE and heavy. The insert is well done for storing cards and expansions, and the board is a huge plus. All in all, I think the Marvel game was a much better value for the cost.

I might point out that it's not really fair to pass judgment on a game without actually playing it.

In my opinion, both games put forth a solid deckbuilding entry that builds upon the tenets set forth by Ascension, Thunderstone, etc.

With DC in particular, you can't get a gauge for its fun factor from videos or second-hand reports. Find someone who has it and play it. It's more than likely that you will enjoy it after your first game.
