I actually own and very much enjoy the Marvel deckbuilder, but even being a fan of DC comics the DC Deckbuilder doesn't even look to be half the game that Marvel is, from gameplay videos and reviews.

The Marvel package is also HUGE and heavy. The insert is well done for storing cards and expansions, and the board is a huge plus. All in all, I think the Marvel game was a much better value for the cost.

People that come to Board Game Geek and write about there opinions on games they never played ticks me off.

For the non-playing judgers, please stop talking. Just go out find a friend that has this game and play it. You will find that the theme is there and the cards interact the way you think they would.

Since I never played the Marvel game I can say anything about it but what I can see is, its a different game. Sure its a deck builder but its goes about it a different way. In fact I can see reason to own both. Marvel for when you want a longer game with a coop feel and DC when you want a short race to the end.

Hrm... Seems like just as much judgment is passed on Legendary by the latter as is on DCCDBG by the former.

What ticks me off is people who devalue the input of every person who hasn't played a game. Notice he didn't post a review and say "This game looks weak!" It was a contribution to the discussion started by a review which FunkyFlyChicken assimilated with the information gathered from previous information he gathered about the game. I'm not siding with either game, just saying that all user input furthers discussion.
