Hello,It occurred to me that since every card, excepting Punch, Vulnerability and Weakness have a Victory Point value, I wondered how a strategy that simply bought as many VP per turn as possible would work out.
If all else was equal, I would maximize power or work for a VP combo (like Green Arrow, Suicide Squad, etc). I would eliminate a Weakness given the opportunity and a Vulnerability or Punch as a second choice.
This first game was played with the "On Patrol" variant, and I was playing the Flash. My opponent was playing Superman, and was playing a standard game (building the deck to work together).
At times, I would buy a low cost card, use the "On Patrol" option, and if possible buy another cheap one. One turn this worked out great, because I turned up two additional 2 cost cards.
The result of the first game was a victory for me with 71 points (5 Super Villains), and my opponent had 41 points. So, this is just one Data point, but that is the highest VP I've gotten so far, and the largest margin of victory as well.
I'll post Further tests of this, and if anyone else feels like trying this, please post results here as well.
