Ultimately, preference will be a matter of individual tastes, as, objectively, neither game is inherently superior to the other.
This is fantastic analysis, I really enjoyed it. I obviously don't agree 100% but I agree a lot and it is great to have this insight presented in such a clear, organized fashion.
Solo and co-op play is very important to me. I play Lord of the Rings LCG more than any game these days, and I believe that is why. Legendary also seems to have a lot more to do, and that may be based on the stronger storyline and more than one type of resource available.
At the same time, I feel more limited by having only a small handful of heroes to add to your deck every play. I may only get the chance to put one copy of Supergirl, Green Arrow, Sinestro, or Atrocitus into my deck in a given game, but at least I get one of them! With so many characters running around, it feels like an epic battle!
One last thing, Marvel feels like it is out of my price range. I know, you get more stuff for more money, but I feel more comfortable risking 30-something dollars than risking 50-something dollars.
All that being said, I will probably end up buying both.
