Having seen the early review for the similar(ish) Fellowship of the Ring Deckbuilder, I like one thing that they have done better than DC does it. LotR has special rules for building its version of the Super Villain deck. You always start (like DC) and end with the same two guys (Nazgul and Lurtz). I like knowing who is last, it is a little less wild and unpredictable but I like the sense of story.I know DC is meant to be less linear, more like a wild superhero free for all crossover mega event. But I would feel a bit let down if we battled our way past the Anti-monitor, Darkseid, and Parallax to reach the final challenge: Captain Cold. Maybe I could randomly pick one of the three I listed above and then shuffle the rest into the deck before making the rest of the super villain deck.
Any good or wild house rules of your own out there?
