Like I said, Ascension's dual resources with an unreliable pool of things on which to spend those resources is a major problem holding the game back. DC and Legendary answer that problem, and both do it well, but DC does it so well that the game becomes way too easy. And I did play Ascension up through the expansion where energy first came out, and all I saw was the game getting more and more convoluted. Give it two separate center rows like Legendary has, and cut out all the Mechana stuff because it's way too good, then maybe Ascension will be a good game. But in the mean time, I'll just stick to Legendary and other deck building games.↧
