Games with more than 5 players would have:

Feel free to try it out, but I can't recommend it.

10 player munchkin game. My group could care less about those issues.

I agree with Matt. We find 2-3 players is good, 4-5 players can be quite harsh sometimes (worse with the Lord of the Rings version). 6 or more would probably result in a number of players without cards in their hand a number of times during the game.
Hmmm, good point. I guess in games of six or over we could simply house rule that a defense card would be revealed rather than discarded to stop an attack so that it would serve for the full round, but once it is revealed the first time, it only provides it's extra benefit for defense once and must be discarded at the start of your turn before any other cards are played.
In this way it would provide the benefits of a "moat" card from Dominion without becoming overpowered when someone draws multiple card from it then gains it's pay effect as well making larger games less problematic for attacks.
