DC has so much stuff that you can mix any way you want and there is loads of variety. You can mix with Streetfighter, but there are components in the play style which are different (Streetfighter has attack cards where you choose an opponent rather than attack all, the Streetfighter 'Super-Heroes' have a unique card each, and there is a lots of buying from your own stack of cards which can be built up from you Super Hero). They can mix, but you might not want to mix them.
And, of course, there's lots of new stuff coming for DC!
Lord of the Rings has its own backs. We have played them mixed together, but because each game has its own 'extra' (The wall in the Two Towers and the path to Mount Doom in Return), we find it's better to leave each set as they are and play them individually.
