OK, I got in 6 games today, and noticed some immediate changes that needed to be made. I have edited the original post to reflect these changes. I'll try and sum up the experience and the reasons for the changes below.

A lot of the changes were simply changes in the order of the turn sequence. For example, I liked the idea of the Villains only attacking the Main Deck if the player(s) were unable to defeat them during their turn. When I had it so that the Line-Up refilled before the Villains attacked, I ran into a lot of situations where Villains like Starro or Bizarro would appear and just chop 7 cards of the Main Deck instantly. I also experimented with the Super-Villain attacking the Line-Up before the Villains attacked, and that didn't work as well either, because it ended up being more beneficial to avoid attacking Villains at times, knowing that there would be a good chance for the Super-Villain to defeat it for you. Thus, now the Villains attack, then the Super-Villains take out one of the remaining cards in the Line-up, THEN it refills. Much better.

Another big change was moving the Location cards from the Main Deck to the Super-Villain Deck. This was the most glaring and necessary change. When the Locations were in the Main Deck, they would often get destroyed by Villains and never see play at all. By moving them to the Super-Villain stack, this ensures that the players will see changes in Location at regular intervals. I really like how it plays out.

I also made sure to note that if the Super-Villain is defeated, the Super-Villain attack step does not occur. It felt really weird to have the Super-Villain attack the Line-Up when there wasn't one active.

At this point, I'm still trying to work out how to deal with Villain and Super-Villain rewards, because getting the effect of playing the Villain/Super-Villain when they are defeated seems to make the game too easy in some situations. Getting nothing at all for defeating them just doesn't feel right either, though. This is the area I'm going to be focusing on in my next batch of sessions. Hopefully, you are all having fun with these ideas, and I would love to hear about your experiences while using these rules.
