For quite some time now, I've been working on an "Advanced" version of DCDBG. It consists of cards from the first core set, Heroes Unite, and the Crisis expansion. The basic premise is re-balancing each version to work with one another in such a way that you can have a different experience each time you play.

Super Hero abilities have been reworked in most cases and Synergy cards have been added to the work directly with these changes. Synergy cards are basically reworked versions of each SH's Hero card, ranging from a cost of 5 to 7. They have a similar look and feel to the Ultra cards from the Street Fighter DBG.

All Heroes, Villains, Super Powers, Locations, and Equipment have been reworked to add a more thematic feel and all include artwork from the New 52 (Note, some non-New 52 Heroes and Villains also have been replaced.)

One large difference is the reworking of the Kick cards. I've never felt Kick cards should be a Super Power, so I've changed them to a non-Type card that returns to the Kick stack at the end of your turn, if played. Weaknesses also return to the Weakness stack once destroyed.

Super-Villans are no longer added to your deck once you defeat them. Instead, they are removed from the game. They have a devastating First-Appearance Ambush that effects all players and a secondary Ambush that triggers when an Ambush card is gained/destroyed from the main deck or added to the Line-Up.

Location cards have a difference now. Instead of gaining as many Locations as possible, players now have to think about their choices. Each player may only have 1 Location in play at a time, but have the option of putting it on the bottom of their deck, and replacing it with a Location in their discard pile.

I've also created a system for creating decks using a 1:1 system for all card types (excluding Location and Ambush cards).

At current count, I have created/edited 40 Heroes, 40 Villains, 23 Super Powers, 37 Equipment, 18 Super-Villains, 20 Locations, and 31 Super Heroes/Synergy cards. In a few days I'll post some examples of the new or revised cards on here and my Facebook page.
